Due to lack of interest, the Booster Scotch Doubles Bowling Night has been cancelled. Chris Smith will destroy all checks, and those who paid in cash will receive a refund. If you would rather have a copy of your check, please contact Chris at 477-4487. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Announcements Week of 2/20/2012
1. Brass auditions for 2012 Bands are one week away! Make sure you arrive on your assigned day, and be prepared.
2. Get your last minute bowling reservations by contacting Chris and Scott Smith. Their contact info can be found on the Booster tab.
3. This is the last week to sign up for challenges before District Contest. If you want to challenge, get your name on the list by the end of the week.

Congratulations to Sabrina Simone!
Congratulations to senior flute and field commander Sabrina Simone, who was awarded a $16,000 music scholarship to Capital University!
Field Commander Audition Info
Any student wishing to audition for Field Commander should see Mr. Smith for a copy of the musical score. The audio file for your audition music is available on the Marching Band Page.
Any student selected to be a Field Commander will be required to attend the overnight camp hosted by the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps at The University of Akron. This camp will take place from June 13th through the 16th. The Band Boosters will assist with defraying the cost of this event, but your attendance will be required.
It is also HIGHLY encouraged that you work with Sabrina or Gabby to prepare for your audition. Candidates will be asked to do the following:
1. Conduct the prepared audition music
2. Demonstrate proper marching technique (glide step, backwards marching, lateral slides)
3. Demonstrate vocal commands (Attention, horns up, count off, At Rest)
4. Submit a leadership team essay if you haven’t already done so.
Auditions will be held after Spring Break (exact date will be available soon)

Announcements Week of 2/13/2012
1. Auditions for the 2012-2013 Perry Bands are right around the corner! Please make sure you have received a copy of the audition music and schedule. Your preparation will be a major factor in determining your placement.
2. Please contact Chris Smith if you are interested in a fun night of bowling at the Perry Band Scotch Doubles Night!
3. Edison 7th and 8th Grade Band concert is on February 23rd at 7PM in the Edison Gym. Come and hear your future Perry Band members! Any student who attends will receive 10 points of extra credit. Just make sure to get your program signed by Mr. Smith or Mrs. Martin following the concert.
4. Booster meeting this Monday at 7PM in the PHS Band room.
Congratulations to Nathan Fete
Sophomore trumpeter Nathan Fete has earned a first chair placement in the West Virginia University Honors Band. Nathan earned this honor by auditioning against several trumpet players from the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The Honors Band will perform at West Virginia University on Saturday, February 11th. Please congratulate Nathan when you see him!

1. Winds playing tests will begin this Tuesday on the selected measures from Invocation and Psalm.
2. Basketball Band this Tuesday night! Last game of the season so be sure to sign up!
