1. Auditions for the 2011-2012 bands are finished! Results will be posted in late May. Remember that your audition is only one portion of selection for next year’s bands. Attitude and attendance during the summer months can change the result!
2. Winds will rehearse this Wednesday after school with Robert Jorgensen, director of bands at The University of Akron. Your attendance is required for this rehearsal!
3. State Contest is a little over 1 week away. Our Pre-State Concert will be next Wednesday, the 27th, at 7PM in the Mattachione Theatre. Performance at State will be held at Oakwood MS at 4:30PM on Friday the 29th. Parents and supporters are HIGHLY encouraged to come and support your Perry Band at State Contest!
4. Busses for State will leave PHS at 2:45 PM on Friday the 29th. You will need to bring your uniform to school that day as you will not have time to go home.
5. Rookie Camp will be held on the last day of school. Rookies and Leadership team are required to be at Rookie Camp.
6. Parents, please encourage your students to practice over Spring Break! Having 5 days off before State Contest is not the best situation, but can be remedied with a little practice time at home!
