Beginning Band for All Pfeiffer 6th Graders
I am excited to invite all Pfeiffer 6th graders to become members of the band. In the coming week, all Pfeiffer 6th graders will have the opportunity to try all of the beginning band instruments including Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion. No prior music experience is necessary and everyone is welcome to join. After the the students have tried each instrument they will bring home an enrollment form and you and your child can discuss the instrument they would like to play. Students can participate in both band and choir at Pfeiffer Intermediate.
We have two parent meetings after the fittings. Both meetings are the same so it is only necessary to attend one of these meetings. The first meeting is on Tuesday, September 2nd and the second meeting is on Thursday, September 4th. Both meetings will be held in the Pfeiffer Cafeteria and will take place from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. There will be representatives from local music stores at these meetings who can help with obtaining an instrument.
