As we head into the winter months, it’s time to start planning for Solo & Ensemble Contest. This year’s event will be held at Massillon High School on Saturday, January 29th. This is NOT an all day event. You only need to be there for your event. While participation is not required, it is HIGHLY encouraged. All students who are taking lessons are encouraged to take a solo to this event.
There are some things you need to do on your end:
- Fill out the registration form, which can be found in the links below, and return it with your fee no later than December 14th. Please be sure to fill out all applicable information, including the name of your accompanist. Song codes for your event can be found by accessing the links below If you have trouble finding it, just let me know.
- Fees are $18 for each event. Please make checks payable to Perry Band Boosters.
- Contact an accompanist ASAP and meet with them before January 29th. (a few times!) Your private lesson teacher will most likely suggest an accompanist, but we also have a list on perryband.com under Lessons/Accompanists
